Moving by yourself
It is time for another round of removal tips! Are you moving by yourself, these tips will sure come in handy. We are not going to lie, it is quite a heavy job to move by yourself. But it definitely is not impossible! It just takes more preparation alone then when a whole team is involved. But when you are on a budget and family and friends are not around, these tips will help you get things done.
- Removal tips – packing.
We presume you will be moving a one person household. We recommend starting as early as possible! Are you moving within a few months? Start packing everything you will not be using daily. The moving boxes might be a bit in the way, but it will sure save you work weeks before the removal itself. - Time management
We recommend to make a planning for yourself in order to have oversight of the removal. It enables you to clearly view any difficulties in your agenda or agreements previously made. - Rent a van
You might consider renting a van instead of hiring a moving company. Check to see if any of your friends or relatives has a van. This might just do the trick! - Storage
Is your new home quite far? Do your belongings not fit into one van? You might want to consider storing your belongings halfway through. It means your removal will take up two days instead of one. For many people this is not an ideal scenario.
